SMS Opt-In Journey — Text-Initiated

This page documents the SMS opt-in flow used by LeadHub AI: text-initiated contact. The consumer obtains the business's SMS-enabled number from a public placement (Google Business Profile, advertising, signage, or business card) and texts the number first. The inbound text constitutes express consent under TCPA to receive an SMS reply.

Important: The LeadHub AI website chat widget is a chat-only channel. It does not capture SMS consent and does not trigger outbound SMS. SMS opt-in occurs only through the channels documented here and at /sms-cta-examples.

Consumer finds the business's SMS-enabled number on its Google Business Profile, a Facebook/Instagram ad, signage, business card, or vehicle decal. All published placements include disclosure language (see /sms-cta-examples).

Consumer initiates contact by texting the business directly. The inbound text constitutes express consent under TCPA to receive an SMS reply to the inquiry. No prior LeadHub AI-side data collection occurs.

3 Receives first reply

[Business Name]
Hi, I have a roof leak in my master bedroom — can you come look at it tomorrow?
Hi! Thanks for reaching out to [Business Name]. To get you the right help, can you share your address and whether this is urgent? Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to unsubscribe.
iMessage

LeadHub AI replies on behalf of the business. The first reply contains the full CTIA-required disclosure: brand identifier, "Msg & data rates may apply," HELP, and STOP instructions.

Verbatim First-Reply Disclosure

Every first SMS reply sent by LeadHub AI on behalf of a client business includes the following disclosure elements per CTIA guidelines:

"Hi! Thanks for reaching out to [Business Name]. To get you the right help, can you share your address and whether this is urgent? Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to unsubscribe."

Why This Is TCPA-Compliant Express Consent

Consent Record Logged

Each text-initiated opt-in is logged in our database with:

Consent records are retained for a minimum of four (4) years per TCPA record-keeping best practice.

Opt-Out Handling

If a consumer replies STOP (or UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT) to any SMS at any time, the opt-out is processed immediately by Twilio's standard advanced opt-out and is honored permanently across all LeadHub AI-managed business numbers the consumer has previously contacted. A single confirmation SMS is sent, after which no further messages are delivered. The opt-out record is also stored in our database with timestamp and source.

Mobile Information Sharing

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
